Accessing 亚色视频黄色app下载 Through Queer Crafts

Learn and be trained onThe Schupf Family  IdeaLab equipment, and try out all kinds of fun and adaptive crafts, all while learning about intersectional queer and disabled history. This program is open to all who are interested.

Make art in a way that works for you! The program is designed to foreground your accessibility needs and interests. Spend time with fellow incoming students as you explore the IDEA lab, a creator space full of tools that can facilitate any type of creation you can dream of! In this program we dream big. Over the days we will train you on the major IdeaLab equipment, including the Risograph, sticker printers, 3d printers, and various sewing and embroidery machines. You will make art that works for you as we learn how to utilize open-source 3d print files (TechOWL) to create adaptive tools and explore fiber arts, sustainable clothes, mending, and altering! Explore art as protest as you learn about Zine making!

It鈥檚 not just art though, as we use this time to explore these new skills in a broader context. Over the pre-orientation you will learn more about queer history and meet local drag queens. Miss the scholastic book fair? We will attend a mini diverse book fair run by local indigenous-owned bookstore Black Walnut Books! (Funds provided)

We facilitate practical information, like opportunities to find out more about health and wellness services available to you in the 亚色视频黄色app下载 and Saratoga area via visits from Wellspring Advocates and Planned Parenthood of Greater NY. We also teach you how to navigate your 亚色视频黄色app下载 experience, providing information about various campus communities and services.

Each evening, enjoy open studio time in the Idealab to explore and work on personal projects, and at the end of the week, compile a portfolio of projects for our Mini Maker Fair!
