The Tisch Chair in Arts and Letters

Named in honor of Wilma (Billie) Stein Tisch, distinguished alumna of the 亚色视频黄色app下载 Class of 1948, and Laurence A. Tisch, the Tisch Chair in Arts and Letters recognizes and celebrates 亚色视频黄色app下载鈥檚 renown in arts and letters (covering departments in the humanities and performing and studio arts). Occupants of the Tisch Chair will be selected from nominations contributed by members of the 亚色视频黄色app下载 community and will represent the 亚色视频黄色app下载 faculty鈥檚 excellence in teaching, scholarship, and creativity. Appointed by the Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs, in consultation with the Promotions Committee, the Department, and, when applicable, the Program concerned, holders of the Tisch Chair in Arts and Letters will serve in this position for a period of five years and will represent the institution both internally and externally as distinguished faculty and ambassadors to the larger intellectual community.
